Pension Advice

Pension advice is about creating a comfortable and enjoyable retirement for when you make the decision to stop working. At Qualified Pension Advice we strive to ensure we tailor advice to the your needs and financial circumstances. Once we have a clear understanding of your options, we will detail the choices available and explain which strategy we would recommend.

The first stage is to understand your current personal and financial situation. This involves a 20 – 30 minute conversation and gathering the necessary information and paperwork to understand what pensions you currently have and your overall financial position. Once we have a good understanding of your expectations and your financial position, we can make recommendations.

We do not charge you for the initial meeting. If there are any charges we explain, in advance, what these fees are for, how they are charged and you can ultimately decide if you wish to proceed. Our fees, where necessary, are competitive and fair. Our objective is to always help enhance your pension pot so that your gain exceeds any fees we need to charge, in turn ensuring that you can see the value of our qualified support.

Types of Pension Support

Our advisers can offer different types of pension advice and support, from explaining what options are available to you, to helping to manage your pension, which includes assessing it annually and ensuring your pension meets your current risk profile.

Having a pension adviser managing your retirement goals can help ensure your objectives are met. It also means you won’t forget about pensions and a professional adviser is taking the responsibility to help you meet your retirement goals. You can speak to your adviser at any point, however, as a minimum your pension adviser will be in touch once a year to complete a review of your pensions and investments to ensure they are on track.

Why Is Pension Advice Important

Pension products, rules and laws change on a regular basis, this means that while a certain pension may once may have been your best option, it could have changed. This is why we encourage people to have their pension assessed on an annual basis and give themselves peace of mind. Our goal is to ensure your maximising your pension pot when it comes time to retire.

Our pension adviser will check your current pension against those available and assess it alongside your financial circumstances as well as your retirement goals. A number of factors could change what is the best advice, such as age, employment status or type of pension you have. Only by speaking to a qualified pension adviser can anyone know whether they are maximising their retirement goals.
